Saints celebrated on the 6th of July
SAINT LUCY, VIRGIN AND MARTYR
The Greek sources provide two feast days for this Saint Lucy (Lucia): one entry lists her on July 6 as a virgin and martyr, the other, on July 1, mention her also under the name Luceia (Luceja).
The Spanish hagiographer Tamayus* unwittingly created two saints from this information, stating that they were originally from Spain while, according to the Bollandists*, Saint Lucy (July 6) and Lucy (July 1) is one and the same person, namely the Saint Lucy (June 25) mentioned above. (II. 249).
