Saints celebrated on the 16th of July
SAINT SISENANDUS, DEACON AND MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Sisenandus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Cordova [Cordoba] in Spain, Saint Sisenandus, deacon and martyr, who was strangled by the Saracens for the faith of Christ."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Sisenandus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
