HUGH, BISHOP OF LANGRES Hugh ( Hugo ), Bishop of Langres in the 11th century, is listed in the Legend of the Saintly Members of the Order of Saint Peter ( Legende der heiligmäßigen Petriner ). It is noted that he authored a treatise on the Real Presence of the Body and Blood of Christ and most earnestly exhorted Berengar to renounce his heresy. Zedler * (XVI. 681) identifies him as the 52nd bishop of Langres and records his surname as de Breteuil .
