ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 1st of December
SAINT ANSANUS, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Ansanus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"The same day, Saint Ansanus, martyr, who confessed Christ at Rome, and was cast into prison, in the time of the emperor Diocletian. Being afterwards conducted to Siena, in Tuscany, he there ended the course of his martyrdom by decapitation."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Ansanus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
