SAINTS OLYMPIADES AND MAXIMUS, MARTYRS - 15 APRIL

SAINTS OLYMPIADES AND MAXIMUS, MARTYRS

Along with Saint Maximus [Maxinius], Olympiades was martyred for the faith in Cordula (Baronius* reckons that Cordula is a misspelling of Corduena) in Persia. Saints Abdon and Sennen took care of their honourable burial. Some of their relics are venerated in Maclou in France. (II. 375)

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saints Olympiades and Maximus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
