Saints celebrated on the 2nd of May
SAINT GERMANUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
Nothing much is known about this Saint Germanus except his name. However, he definitely existed. It is certain that he is not identical with the other martyr of that name who is commemorated on the same day. This fact is ascertained by the names of his companions - all the ancient manuscripts agree on those names. His fellow martyrs were called Celestinus, Felix, Cetinus, Urbanus, Bellicus (Bellacus, Hellacus, Bellapus) and Privata. When and where they obtained the martyr's crown is unknown. Relics of them are kept in Bologna. Perhaps this location coincides with their place of martyrdom (I. 179).
