SAINT FEAST DAY FOR EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN SEPTEMBER Saints celebrated on the 5th of September WELCOME! SAINT OBDULIA, VIRGIN Saint Obdulia, commemorated on September 5 and December 13, is venerated in Toledo, where she is said to have lived as a virgin consecrated to God. However, some hagiographers consider her to be the same person as  Saint Odilia ( Othilia ). If this were not the case, nothing is known about her except her name and the place of veneration.  She also features in the  Roman Martyrology *,  although Baronius *, in his " Notes ," does not contradict the view that she is the same person as Saint Odilia, but merely remarks that in this case, a transfer of her relics to Toledo would be assumed. The  Bollandists * planned to mention details about her on December 13. (II. 488). The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Toledo,  Saint Obdulia , virgin." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Obdulia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
