SAINTS INNOCENT AND RASUS, BISHOPS Saints Innocent, Rasus and Julian (Innocentius et Rasus Episc. et Julianus Romae.) are listed in the Martyrology of Saint Jerome * and other sources. Several martyrologies refer to these saints as confessors. Some handwritten manuscripts mention Saints Innocent and Rasus, Bishops . The locations of their seats are not specified. It has been suggested that this Innocent is the same person as the first Pope of that name. However, the Bollandist Henschenius* (II. 106) is adamant that Pope Saint Innocent I. is another man altogether. This is also the view of the Bollandist Cuperus*, stated in his article about this holy pontiff (July VI. 549).
