  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 7th of May THE TRANSLATION OF SAINT STEPHEN, PROTOMARTYR Today, we also commemorate The Translation of Saint Stephen. The Roman Martyrology states:  "At Rome, the translation of the body of  Saint Stephen ,  the first martyr, which was brought from Constantinople to Rome, and laid in the sepulchre of the martyr Saint Lawrence in the field of Verano, where it is honoured with great devotion by the pious faithful." PRAYER: Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of The Translation of Saint Stephen may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. SAINT FEAST DAY 26 DECEMBER

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER Saints celebrated on the 26th of December WELCOME! SAINT STEPHEN, PROTOMARTYR Stephen was the disciple chosen by the Apostles, “full of Faith and the Holy Ghost,” as first of the seven deacons (Acts 6:1-5), and who was also the first of Christian martyrs. He was stoned to death (A.D. 33) by Jews ( Acts 7:58 ).  "FULL OF FAITH AND THE HOLY GHOST" His body was recovered, together with those of Saints Nicodemus, Gamaliel and Abibo, early in the fifth century; and on that account a second Feast of St Stephen is kept annually on August 3. Information from the Book of Saints, 1921, by the Monks of Ramsgate PRAYER: Lord, today we celebrate the entrance of Saint Stephen into eternal glory. He died praying for those who killed him. Help us to imitate his goodness and to love our enemies. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
