ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN NOVEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 14th of September
WELCOME!
SAINT HYPATIUS, BISHOP AND MARTYR
Saint Hypatius, bishop and martyr of Gangra in Paphlagonia, is commemorated today. He was stoned to death by the Arians on his return from the Council of Nicea (in 325).
ONE OF THE MOST EXCELLENT FIGHTERS AGAINST THE ARIAN ERRORS
He was certainly one of the most excellent fighters against the Arian errors. The Greeks commemorate him on February 14 and 25, as well as June 1; Elenchus* names Saint Hypatius on November 30. The Roman Martyrology lists him on November 14.
