Saints celebrated on the 3rd of February
HERIDACH, PRIEST
Heridach (Heridacus) is remembered on February 3. The first pastor of Hamburg, Germany, he was appointed by Emperor Charlemagne [early 9th century]. Since he had not yet put into place a bishop for this church, he temporarily removed Hamburg's nascent church from all neighbouring bishops, so that Heridach was independent.
"DENMARK'S FIRST APOSTLE"
Only later did Charles' son, Ludwig the Pious, found an archbishopric there. Heridach, already designated bishop, died before he received episcopal consecration. He is called "saint" by some; in any case, he laboured much to spread Christianity in Denmark, so that he is often called "Denmark's first apostle."

This saintly Archbishop of Hamburg and Bremen, also called Unnus, Huno and Wenni, was the successor of St Reginward, who had passed on at Corvey on September 29, 916 (other sources say October 10, 918).
