BLESSED EDMUND OF CLAIRVAUX
Initially, Blessed Edmund had entered the regular canons, but later chose the far more austere profession of monk at Clairvaux Abbey.
When he was severely tempted by Satan to discard his religious habit, a heavenly vision strengthened him to remain true to his better purpose.
At the hour of his death he had the joy of seeing St Bernhard in the glory of heaven, to which he himself was admitted very soon after. He lived around A.D. 1170. (Buc.)
