Saints celebrated on the 14th of May
SAINT PACHOMIUS THE YOUNGER
Saint Pachomius, a pupil of the famous St Pachomius, is called "the younger". He is said to have escaped secretly from his parents' house and to have made his way to Tabenna because he longed for the hermit's life. Like his master, he died with a reputation for great holiness. His life story is unauthentic, as it seems to be copied from his teacher's Vita. He is also called "hermit near Scythopolis", which points to yet another hermit of this name.
