WITBURGA, ANCHORESS
Witburga, a virgin from Kent in England, whose piety is attested by St Boniface , died around the middle of the 8th century after living as an anchoress near St Peter's Church in Rome. She enjoys no public veneration, although Arthur* lists it with the title "saint". (VII. 794.)
