ALEYDIS THE PENITENT
Aleydis, a nun of the Premonstratensian Order at Langwade near Neuss [Germany], was called the Penitent.
As long as she was in the world she lived in sins and vice, but was converted to the Lord and entered the said Order, where she spent the rest of her life in extreme penance and slept happily in the Lord afterwards. Some writers list Aleydis among the "blessed."
