SAINT BERTHALDUS, CONFESSOR
Saint Berthaldus, Bertaut in French, was a confessor of the faith in Rethelois. He lived in the early 6th century and died in the year 540. His body was taken to the Premonstratensian monastery of Piscine near Chaumont. This Saint Berthaldus is perhaps identical to another holy man of the same name. (Mg.)
