SAINT GRATIAN, BISHOP OF TOULON, MARTYR
Saint Gratian (Gratianus) was, according to Migne*, bishop of Toulon and a martyr. As an orthodox bishop under Evaric, the Arian king of the Visigoths in Spain, he was killed for adhering to and defending the true faith. He suffered on October 23, 473. (Mg.)
