SAINT EXUPERIUS, BISHOP OF BAYEUX
Saint Exuperius was a bishop of Bayeux (Bajocae), whose activity may well have been at the end of the fourth or beginning of the fifth century. In A.D. 863, during the Norman raids, his relics were brought to the Castle in Gatinois and from there (in 943) to Corbeil (Corbolium) near Paris, where Count Haimon built a church and founded a monastery dedicated to this saint. (I. 52)
