Saint Ebraisilus (Ebrigisilus), commemorated on August 31, lived towards the end of the 7th or beginning of the 8th century and was bishop of Meaux. As such, he was characterized by incessant activity, earnestness and abundant love. He died in the monastery of Jotrum, which was headed by his sister Aquilberta. In 1620 an elevation of his relics took place, conducted by the bishop of Nantes, and in 1658 several of his bones were taken to the episcopal church of Meaux, where they are venerated.
