Saint Scophilus, (French: Escobille), commemorated on October 17, was an abbot in Brittany, who is venerated in the village of Saint-Escobille in the department of Seine-et-Oise. Around the year 965, the relics of our saint were translated to Paris along with the relics of the holy bishops Leuthernus and Levianus and buried at St Jacob du Haut-Pas (on the high road). The relics were rediscovered in 1835.
