  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER Saints celebrated on the 23rd of October SAINT VALERIUS, ARCHDEACON AND MARTYR OF LANGRES Saint Valerius, archdeacon and martyr of Langres, was according to tradition tortured and beheaded for being a Christian in A.D. 246. He suffered at Portsur-Saone. Near the place of his martyrdom is today's village named after him, Saint-Vallier. Saint Valerius is also commemorated on October 22.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JANUARY Saints celebrated on the 16th of January SAINT VALERIUS, BISHOP OF SORRENTO Saint Valerius was a bishop of Sorrento (Surrentinus) in Italy. He initially lived as a hermit in a small cell near the Church of Saint Renatus.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JULY Saints celebrated on the 5th of July SAINT VALERIUS, BISHOP OF CONSERANS A page of one of Fortunatus Hueber's Saints' books, "Stammenbuch..." (1693) Not much is known from the life of this first bishop of Conserans  (Consorannae) [Couseraus]. The French also call him Valier (Vallier). He died in A.D. 504. His relics were rediscovered and solemnly raised under Bishop Theodore. He is listed in the proper of the bishopric of Tarbes. Saint Valerius is also commemorated on July 9 and February 20.
