  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MAY Saints celebrated on the 21st of May WELCOME! SAINT HILARIUS, BISHOP OF TOULOUSE Saint Hilarius [Saint Hilary],  Bishop of Toulouse (commemorated on May 21, May 18; March 24, March 26; June 1; October 7), reputedly the third Bishop of Toulouse in the succession - is venerated in his diocese on May 21 with a ritus semiduplex . He took as his model  Saint Saturninus , the first bishop and martyr of that city; the life and virtues of the latter were ever before his eyes, and he even had a wooden chapel built at  Saturninus 's tomb. It is claimed, however, that Hilarius lived in fact much later than  Saint Saturninus . His tomb was discovered in the year 1200 or 1265, and his body was found to be still incorrupt 317 years later.   ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER Saints celebrated on the 22nd of December WELCOME! SAINT HONORATUS, BISHOP OF TOULOUSE Saint Honoratus, commemorated on December 22, the second Bishop of Toulouse, was a Cantabrian (northern Spaniard) by birth. He lived in the 3rd century and is listed as the successor to  Saint Saturninus and the second in the line of succession. He was himself succeeded by Saint Hilarius. His body was interred in the Basilica of  Saint Saturninus  and  on October 7, 1265  was ceremonially exhumed, along with the remains of other saints. Quite a few dates have been provided as feast days: In Migne * and the Elenchus *, he is listed on December 21, and he appears also on  October 7 in the section for " Omitted Entries ," where it is noted that Castellanus*  states he is venerated on December 16, whereas he actually lists him on December 10. SAINT DOMITIAN, BISHOP OF MAASTRICHT Saint Domitian ( Domitianus ), commemorated on May 7 , a Bishop of Maastricht, was of noble French parentage and became so renowned for the holiness of his life and his zeal in converting the pagans that, following the death of Bishop Eucharius of Maastricht , he was elevated to that episcopal see and confirmed at the Synod of Orléans. He built various churches and hospitals, persuaded the wealthy to give alms generously during a famine, delivered the city of Huy from a venomous dragon, healed many sick people, and died in the sixth century, whereupon he was buried in Huy. Due to the many miracles that occurred at his tomb, his holy body was solemnly exhumed in the year 1173. SAINT DOMITIUS, MARTYR OF SYRIA Saint Domitius ( July 5 ), a martyr in Syria - often confused with Saint Dometius ( March 23 ) - lived in a cave near the Marsyas River in the Syrian province of Cyrrhestica and attracted a large number of visitors. In the year 363, while marching to the Persian War, Emperor Julian the Apostate passed through the province; upon seeing a great crowd gathered before a cave, he inquired about the reason for the throng. He was told that a hermit named Domitius lived there and that Christians sought his blessing. The Emperor sent word that if the hermit had dedicated himself to God, he should seek God's praise rather than that of men; Saint Domitius replied that he had been serving the Lord in that cave for some years but could not drive away the people who came to visit him. BLESSED KAZIMIERZ SYKULSKI, PRIEST AND MARTYR ⬅️ 108 Martyrs of World War II Kazimierz Sykulski was ordained a priest for the diocese of Radom, Poland, at the age of twenty-two. Assigned to a parish church in Konskie, he was remembered for his deep spirituality and his exceptional preaching. Following the invasion of Poland by the Nazis in the autumn of 1939 Father Sykulski organised relief efforts for the victims of the war. The Nazis threatened to imprison him. Aware of the danger, Father Sykulski told a parishioner: 'I cannot abandon my parish. I shall be with them, even if I shall be threatened with death.' He was arrested by the Nazis on October 1, 1941. During an interrogation he declared his willingness to lay down his life for his Church and his country.
