SAINT ARISTO, BISHOP OF RATZEBURG
Bishop Adalbert (Albert) of Bremen chose Saint Aristo (Aristus) to be the first bishop of Ratzeburg in Lower Saxony. Aristo was elevated to this See in 1058 after Bishop Adalbert, in his capacity as papal legate, had founded a bishopric in the city mentioned. (Mg.)

PRAYER:
May the intercession of the blessed Aristo, your bishop, commend us to you, so that through his merits we may obtain that which we cannot accomplish by our own. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
