ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN OCTOBER
Saints celebrated on the 7th of October
WELCOME!
SAINT AUGUSTALIS, CONFESSOR
Saint Augustalis, commemorated on October 7, was, according to some hagiographers, Bishop of Bourges in France; however, the Bollandists* consider this incorrect, as no bishop of that name appears in the list of bishops for that diocese. As the same source points out, a case of mistaken identity is involved here - either with the holy priest and abbot Augustus (October 7), or he is the same person as one of the previously mentioned saints named Augustalis: Saint Augustalis or Saint Augustalis.

PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Augustalis may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
