ISABELLA OF SAINT JOSEPH, VIRGIN A Monastery Garden - Johann Jelinek Isabella of Saint Joseph, remembered on October 9 , was an Ursuline nun who had escaped from her parents' home to avoid being forced into marriage by her father, a nobleman of Tours. After being placed in various convents prior to taking her vows, she was sent - along with another nun of her order - to Chambéry , where she made her solemn profession and also ended her days.
