SAINT SULPITIUS, BISHOP OF TONGRES
Saint Sulpitius (Supplicius), commemorated on January 18 and February 9, was a bishop of Tongres (Maastricht. Trajectum Tungrorum). According to arbitrary assumption, he occupied the episcopal see of this city from 517 to 525. In a later martyrology he is mentioned on February 9. Further details are unknown. In the order of bishops he is listed between Servatius II and Guirillus.
