ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN JULY Saints celebrated on the 16th of July WELCOME! SAINT GONDULF, MARTYR According to Migne *, Saint Gondulf ( Gondulphus ) was a martyr from Zande in Belgium. Along with Saint Grimoald and Saint Reineldis , he was killed inside the church around the year 680, presumably by the Saxons, who frequently launched devastating raids into neighboring Christian lands at that time. Elsewhere, the same source specifies an unnamed location near Soignies in Hainaut as the actual site of the atrocity. We have found no mention of this in the Bollandists *; consequently, we report the above with considerable reservation, as it is highly unlikely that such details would have escaped their notice had the accounts been well-founded.
