  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN AUGUST Saints celebrated on the 25th of August SAINT PATRICIA, VIRGIN In Naples, the memory of Saint Patricia (Patritia) has been celebrated with great solemnity since time immemorial. A contemporary of Emperor Constantine the Great, she planned to undertake a pilgrimage to Rome to visit the tombs of the holy apostles. Accompanied by her wet nurse and several servants, she set off from her native city Constantinople, but died on the way to Naples. This is how Baronius * relates her story in brief. Countless miracles through her intercession are recorded at the Monastery of Saint Patricia. In 1549, her mortal remains were transferred to the newly restored Great Church of Saint Patricia and placed in a chapel; on September 9, 1551, they found their permanent resting place on the high altar.
