ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN MARCH Saints celebrated on the 1st of March SAINT SIMPLICIUS, ARCHBISHOP OF BOURGES Saint Simplicius, Archbishop of Bourges, (Bituricae), is the 15th in the order of successors of Euladius. A former soldier, he was so respected for his knowledge and conduct. that when he was elected, the all the people declared for him, whereupon Saints Sidonius and Agrocius confirmed him. From then on he lived with his wife as with a sister, fulfilled all pastoral duties with zeal, and showed himself to be a courageous defender of the faith against the heretical poison of the Arians. He died on March 1, whether in the year 477 or later is uncertain. His relics were buried in the church he built in his episcopal city, later called Saint Outrille du Chateau. (I. 34-38 Guerin).
