STARCHANDUS, BISHOP OF EICHSTÄTT - 11 FEBRUARY

  ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY   Saints celebrated on the 11th of February STARCHANDUS, BISHOP OF EICHSTÄTT   Starchandus, a holy bishop of Eichstätt, 10th in line, ruled this church from 933 to 966. He was well instructed in the sacred Scriptures and other sciences, preached the Word of God with all zeal and showed by a virtuous life what fruits living faith must produce.  HE WAS PRESENT AT THE BATTLE OF LECHFELD He was a close friend of Ulrich of Augsburg and, like him, attended the battle of the Huns on the Lechfeld. Whether he died in battle against these enemies of the Empire and the Catholic faith or died in time of peace is not clear.  ST ULRICH BURIED HIS BODY St Ulrich buried his body.
