SAINT DIETRICH OF ROMMERSDORF, ABBOT Abbey Rommersdorf Saint Dietrich of Rommersdorf ( Theodoricus ), a Premonstratensian, was sent by Abbot Gerland at the head of a group of brothers who moved from Floreffe to take over the new foundation Rommersdorf on the Middle Rhine. In 1135 Dietrich became abbot here. He renovated the dilapidated buildings and established religious life and worship.
