BLESSED TYMOTEUSZ TROJANOWSKI, RELIGIOUS AND MARTYR ⬅️ 108 Martyrs of World War II Stanislaw Trojanowski was born Sadlowo, Mazowieckie, Poland, on July 29, 1908. In 1930, he entered the Conventual Franciscans, receiving the religious name Tymoteusz (Timothy). He professed solemn vows in 1935. When, during WW II, the Germans entered the monastery grounds on October 14, 1941, what did Brother Tymoteusz do? The same as Father Maximilian Kolbe half a year earlier – he did not hide, he did not run away, he allowed himself to be arrested. First he was taken to Pawiak. In early 1942, Brother Tymoteusz was sent to Auschwitz, where he was given the number 25431. He ministered to his fellow prisoners in the months before his death from pneumonia on February 28, 1942.
