Saints celebrated on the 24th of August
SAINT BARTHOLOMEW, APOSTLE
St Bartholomew (Nathanael) was born in Galilee, he is one of the twelve apostles, whom Philip called to follow Jesus. Tradition says that he preached the Gospel in India and was martyred there.
PRAYER:
Lord,
sustain us with the faith
which made Saint Bartholomew ever loyal to Christ.
Let your Church be the sign of salvation
for all the nations of the world.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
