ALL SAINTS CELEBRATED IN DECEMBER
Saints celebrated on the 17th of December
CONSTANTIA, VIRGIN
Constantia, commemorated on December 17, was a Poor Clare nun who descended from a noble family in Florence. Her parents wanted to force her into marriage for a lucrative match.
HER PRAYER WAS ANSWERED
At her prayer, however, she was seized by a burning fever as well as by ulcers, and after much suffering she died in the habit of St Clare on the 8th day after the use of force by her parents, on December 17, 1320.
