SS. SABINIAN, BISHOP, AND POTENTIAN, MARTYRS - 31 DECEMBER

SAINTS SABINIAN, BISHOP, AND POTENTIAN, MARTYRS

Today, we also commemorate the holy martyrs Sabinian and Potentian. The Roman Martyrology states:

"At Sens, the blessed Sabinian, bishop, and Potentian, who being sent thither by the Roman Pontiff to preach, illustrated that metropolitan church by their confession and martyrdom."

PRAYER:

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that we who celebrate the anniversary of the death of your holy martyrs Sabinian and Potentian may by their intercession be delivered from all evils that threaten us. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
