SAINT BEANUS, BISHOP
Saint Beanus [Saint Bean], Bishop of Aberdonia [Aberdeen], Scotland. lived in the 11th century.
A PERMANENT SEAT
Since the See of Aberdeen at that time did not have a fixed residence and the respective bishop was until then living one time here, another time there, St Beanus chose Murthlac as his permanent seat.
IN THE ROMAN MARTYROLOGY
His name appears in the Roman Martyrology on this same day, according to which, incidentally, Aberdeen is said to be in Ireland - "Aberdone in Hibernia".
