MARIANNA JOHANNA BACHMAYR, VIRGIN

Marianna Johanna Bachmayr was a holy Poor Clare in the Anger (= "place") Monastery in Munich. She led there a very pious life, dead to this passing world.

BLESSINGS AND SUFFERING

Her earthly existence was distinguished by heavenly apparitions and blessings, but also by internal and external suffering. Her blissful passing happened when she was fifty-six years old, on January 19, 1748.

THE APPARITION OF OUR LADY

During the war years of 1742 and 1743 she saw the Mother of God between the towers of the Frauenkirche (Our Lady's Church), spreading her protective mantle over the city of Munich
