SAINT LANDO, BISHOP OF REIMS
Saint Lando, (also Laudo, French St-Landon and St-Laudon), the eighth abbot of Fontenelle or Saint-Vandrille, became bishop of Rheims [Reims] in 731.
THE EIGHTH ABBOT OF FONTENELLE
But he did not remain so for long; for in the year 733 he made a journey to Migne to his former abbey, where he then died. He was buried in the church of St Peter.
HE WALKED FAITHFULLY IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF HIS SAINTLY PREDECESSORS
He is said to have walked faithfully in the footsteps of the holy abbots, his predecessors. His festival is celebrated on January 16. We did not find him among the Bollandists.
