Saints celebrated on the 2nd of September
WELCOME!
SAINT NONNOSUS, ABBOT
Saint Nonnosus lived in the sixth century; he is commemorated on September 2.
SAINT GREGORY THE GREAT BEARS WITNESS
He was Abbot of a monastery near Rome to whose virtues and miracles Saint Gregory the Great bears witness.
BY HIS FAITH HE LITERALLY MOVED MOUNTAINS
By his Faith he literally moved mountains. He appears to have lived somewhat earlier in the sixth century than the great Pope who has written concerning him.
From The Book of Saints, 1921, by the Monks of Ramsgate
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Nonnosus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
