NAHALES, ABBOT AND MARTYR

Nahales (remembered on February 3) allegedly was an abbot and martyr in Scotland. The Bollandists mention him with the name Neuhal.

AN ABBOT AND MARTYR IN SCOTLAND

This is probably the name of the monastery, but his real name is unknown. The time when he lived is also quite uncertain. He was, so the Bollandists assume, expelled from his position during the reign of Queen Elizabeth. We know no details of his martyrdom.
