SAINT JOHN OF PINNA, ABBOT
Saint John of Pinna was a 6th century saint. A Syrian by birth, but an Italian by domicile, he settled at Pinna in the Abruzzi, where he built a monastery which he governed as Abbot for forty years. He lived in the sixth century and was famous for many supernatural gifts and graces.
From The Book of Saints, 1921, by the Monks of Ramsgate
PRAYER:
May the intercession of the blessed abbot John commend us to you, so that through his merits we may obtain that which we cannot accomplish by our own. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
