Saints celebrated on the 1st of June
SAINT CAPRAIS, ABBOT
Saint Caprais (Saint Caprasius) was the spiritual master and guide of St Honoratus, and died soon after him in the isle of Lerins, in 430. His sanctity is much extolled by St Hilary of Arles, who assisted at his death, and others, and his name is commemorated in the Roman and Gallican Martyrologies on June 1. See Berault’s Chronicle of Lerins, the life of St Honoratus, Surius, and Giry.
From Fr Butler's Lives of the Saints
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of blessed Caprais may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
