Saints celebrated on the 7th of May
ADAM, ABBOT
Abbot Adam is commemorated on May 7. Adam was abbot of the monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary of la Trappa, which belonged to the Cistercian order and was located in the diocese of Séez (Sagiensis) in Normandy.
"HE WAS RICH AND BECAME POOR"
Seguinus says of him: "He was noble and became humble, he was rich and became poor." After he had brought many to embrace the monastic life and worked through numerous miracles for the salvation of his contemporaries, he died and went to receive his eternal reward. - Bucelin and others call him "Blessed", but other authors assign to him the title "Venerable."
