WELCOME!
ST BERNARD OF ARCE, CONFESSOR
Saint Bernard, a confessor of the faith, was born in England. On a pilgrimage to Jerusalem he also touched southern Italy, where he died around the year 1100.
At Arcanum (the place where his relics are enshrined) he is venerated as confessor.
Many miracles are ascribed to him, notably many healings of the blind and the mute. His name occurs also in the Roman Martyrology on this day.

PRAYER:
O God, who gladden us with the annual feast of blessed Bernard, mercifully grant that, while honouring the anniversary of his death, we may also imitate his deeds. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
