Saints celebrated on the 4th of May
SAINT ANTONIA, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Antonia. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Nicomedia, the birthday of Saint Antonia, martyr, who, for the confession of Christ, was cruelly tortured, subjected to diverse torments, suspended by one arm for three days, kept two years in prison, and finally delivered to the flames by the governor Priscillian."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Antonia may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
