Saints celebrated on the 13th of June
SAINT FANDILA, PRIEST AND MARTYR
Born in the South of Spain, this 9th century saint became a monk at Cordoba (Cordova), where he was ordained priest. Arrested during the persecution of the Caliph Mahomed he was cast into prison and beheaded at Cordoba, A.D. 853.

Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Fandila may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

SAINT FANDILA'S ENTRY IN THE ROMAN MARTYROLOGY
At Cordova [Cordoba], in the persecution of the Arabs, Saint Fandila, a priest and monk, who underwent martyrdom by decapitation for the faith of Christ.
