Saints celebrated on the 29th of July
SAINT CALLINICUS, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Callinicus. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Gangra, in Paphlagonia, Saint Callinicus, martyr, who was scourged with iron rods, and given over to other torments. Being finally cast into a furnace, he gave up his soul to God."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Callinicus may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
