Saints celebrated on the 9th of October
SAINT DEUSDEDIT, ABBOT
Today, we also commemorate Saint Deusdedit. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Cassino, Saint Deusdedit, abbot, who was cast into prison by the tyrant Sicardus, and being there consumed with hunger and misery, yielded up his soul."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Deusdedit may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
