Saints celebrated on the 7th of August
SAINT DOMETIUS AND COMPANIONS, MARTYRS
Today, we also commemorate Saint Dometius and Companions. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Nisibis, in Mesopotamia, Saint Dometius, a Persian monk, who was stoned to death with two of his disciples, under Julian the Apostate."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Dometius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
