Saints celebrated on the 28th of July
SAINT EUSTATIUS, MARTYR
Today, we also commemorate Saint Eustatius. The Roman Martyrology states:
"At Ancyra, in Galatia, the holy martyr Eustatius. After various torments, he was plunged into a river, but being delivered by an angel, was finally called to his reward by a dove coming from heaven."
PRAYER:
Grant, we beseech you, almighty God, that the venerable feast of Saint Eustatius may increase our devotion and promote our salvation. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
